9 generations of the Bain family have succeeded one another at the Grand Hôtel Bain
In 1737, under the reign of the beloved Louis XV, when the Bain family had long been established in Comps, Claude Bain and Marguerite founded the line that, from father to son, would lead us into the 21st century.
Arnaud Bain, the 9th generation, is currently continuing the family story, and his son Clément, who has just graduated from hotel school, is continuing his apprenticeship to take over and perpetuate the tradition.
The hotel is in the record books as the oldest hotel run from father to son since 1737.
